We are seeking an experienced Auto Parts Interpreter to join our busy trade/retail business. Serving both front of house retail customers and trade customers this unique position is best suited to someone with mechanical knowledge, who can communicate with trade specialists and lay-people alike to ensure best service.

This role would be perfect for an experienced mechanic looking to move away from hands on work or a retail worker with a passion for automotive care.

Experience is essential as we are seeking someone who can jump on board immediately and be a pivotal part of our sales team.

The successful applicant would have at least 2 years parts sales experience, be a strong team player, a good communicator, computer literate, customer service focused and have good industry knowledge. Remuneration is based on experience and qualification.

Essential:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
Organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
Computer skills (retail sales programs, outlook, and online ordering platforms)
The ability to work independently and as part of a Team in a busy environment. 

Desired:

2+ years’ experience in automotive parts sales
General to advanced mechanical knowledge 
Mechanical experience or qualifications 
Retail experience
General to advanced computer skills 
Paint mixing experience

What the role will look like:

Building relationships with our trade and retail customers
Answering phone enquiries from trade customers 
Picking orders for trade customers 
Liaising with delivery drivers to ensure swift delivery of trade orders 
Assisting in store customers to finalise purchases 
Placing orders from our suppliers 
Assisting in person customers to find items within the store
Working with team members to order and fill stock
Assisting customers with any returns or warranty claims
Answering email enquiries from customers and suppliers
