The batteries are designed using advanced Expanded Grid Technology (EXG), which makes them capable of withstanding extreme driving conditions in Australia. The construction of the calcium plates in super compressed rolled strips creates a dense grid pattern, resulting in a more compact unit. EXG plates are less susceptible to heat corrosion and deliver more efficient cranking power. These plates are also shorter, have minimal gassing, and require no acid top-up, resulting in less water loss.

SuperCharge Batteries have introduced Optimal Plate Technology (SNT) in their new GoldPlus range, which optimizes plate performance through a special mix of Lead-Calcium-Tin alloy and paste additive. This promotes uniform plate structure, resulting in consistent reliable capacity. SNT also works with the existing EXG high-quality grids to improve corrosion and creep resistance, extending the life of the battery.
