The kit pairs the AEM2R digital e-mirror with the AEMB158 vehicle-specific mounting bracket in one box, so there is no separate bracket to source or match up. The bracket installs in place of the factory mirror for a clean, integrated result, with no cutting or fabrication required.
The 1920 x 480 screen has a super-bright 1000 nit display with automatic brightness adjustment, so it stays legible in direct sunlight or low light. A flip switch lets you revert to a conventional mirror view whenever you need it, and a clock and date display keeps essential information on screen.
The included AHD 1080P rear camera uses a Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor for excellent image quality day and night. When you select reverse, the screen switches automatically to the rear camera view with on-screen parking guidelines. For everyday driving, the live feed gives constant rear vision and removes the blind spots caused by a full canopy or camper.
The included AHD 1080P front camera records at the same time as the rear. The built-in DVR records continuously in 1080P, with the rear at 30fps and the front at 25fps, and impact-triggered event saving protects critical footage in an incident. It supports MicroSD cards up to 256GB (sold separately, Class 10 required) for dual-channel recording.
