BlackVue have raised the bar again with its new flagship 4K UHD dash cam range. The DR970X Plus delivers even better video quality than its predecessor thanks to the new Sony STARVIS 2 video sensor and a new lens with f1.7 aperture for even better performance in challenging light conditions. When it comes to dashcams, even the smallest detail may make all the difference.
The new Sony STARVIS 2 video sensor used in the front camera is rated at 8.4 megapixels and is capable of true 4K 2-channel output. It enables recording at 30 frames per second for smooth video and outstanding low light sensitivity. Together with the new wide aperture lens and 146 degree ultra-wide viewing angle, you won't miss any action that unfolds in front of your vehicle.
The rear camera features a 131 degree viewing angle and utilises the familiar Sony STARVIS video sensor.
As with previous generations, BlackVue's DR970X Plus range also has these important features:
- Automatic impact and motion detection triggered recording
- Intelligent parking mode monitoring with battery discharge prevention features (enabled when hardwired to your vehicle's fuse box using the included harness cable)
- Easy cloud connection via WiFi (access point/router at home, hotspot on your phone, dedicated WiFI modem or BlackVue accessory 4G LTE modem). Cloud access enables remote live view, emergency notifications to the driver, video backup and video access
- App-ready: Seamless pairing technology enables quick setup and access to media
- Dual band WiFi access to the camera (2.4 and 5GHz)
- The 2nd channel camera input port accepts the included rear camera, or an accessory BlackVue infra-red exterior rear camera (for trucks and buses) or infra-red interior cabin camera (for taxi/rideshare users)
This front and rear kit includes 64GB microSDHC memory card, card reader, 12/24V parking mode hardwiring cable harness, 12/24V accessory/cigarette lighter socket power cable, rear camera and cable, user guide, cable anchor clips and trim wedge to assist with tucking away cables behind trim covers
