The JVC KW-M560BT brings your smartphone onto the dash with a 6.8" capacitive touchscreen and built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plug your phone in via USB to access maps, calls, messages and music from the screen or by voice, keeping your eyes on the road and your phone out of your hand.

Android users can also mirror their phone’s screen to the head unit over USB with the free Mirroring OA for JVC app. Built-in Bluetooth handles hands-free calling and audio streaming, with an included external microphone for clear calls and quick switching between two paired phones, which is handy when more than one person drives the car.

As a mechless unit with no disc player, the KW-M560BT uses a short chassis that’s only about 75mm deep, making it easier to fit into tight dashes. Behind it you’ll find a rear USB port with 1.5A charging, a dedicated reversing camera input and preamp outputs for adding amplifiers or a subwoofer later.

Sound can be fine-tuned with a 13-band graphic equaliser and digital time alignment, so you can shape the audio to suit your speakers and seating position. It also plays a wide range of audio and video files from USB, including FLAC, MP3 and MKV.
